GET INVOLVED WITH SOMERVILLE’S DEI COMMITTEE
The Somerville DEI Committee typically meets on the first Friday of each month at 9 am. For the 2023-2024 school year, the meeting dates are October 6, November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 1, April 5, and May 3. These meetings are hybrid (in person at Somerville and virtual over Zoom) and open to the Somerville community, so if you’re interested in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion at Somerville, drop by in person or online!
For the 2023-2024 school year, the Somerville DEI Co-Chairs are Prerna Arora and Alexandra Harwin. Prerna is a psychologist whose research interests include advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in school and clinical child psychology. Alexandra is a lawyer who advocates for victims of discrimination and harassment.
